Nanda Adventure – Cancellation Policy

We understand how difficult it is to cancel a trek. As adventure lovers and trekkers ourselves, we know that every trek involves months of preparation, excitement, and planning. Having to cancel a trek can be disappointing, which is why Nanda Adventure follows a trekker-friendly cancellation policy.

In case of Individual Cancellations (Trek):

• If cancellation is made more than 30 days before the trek start date, then 100% of the amount can be carried forward to a future trek or 90% refund will be provided.
• If cancellation is done between 30 days to 12 days before the trek start date, then 50% refund or 75% carry forward will be allowed.
• If cancellation is done less than 12 days before the trek start date, then 10% refund or 25% carry forward will be applicable.

In genuine situations such as family emergencies, serious medical issues, or accidents, Nanda Adventure may consider providing a higher refund or a higher carry forward percentage. Participants must submit valid proof such as medical certificates, hospital documents, or other relevant evidence for review. The final decision regarding the refund or carry forward will be at the sole discretion of Nanda Adventure.

In case of Individual Cancellations (IMF Expedition):

• If cancellation is made more than 30 days before the Second Installment, then 40% of the amount can be carried forward to a future expedition or a 15% refund will be provided. This is because expenses such as IMF permissions, forest department fees, and documentation charges are paid in advance.
• If cancellation is made after the Second Installment but before the expedition start date, then 25% refund or 40% carry forward will be allowed. In IMF expeditions, it is not possible to replace participants later due to fixed permissions and documentation.
• If cancellation is made less than 12 days before the expedition, then 25% refund or 40% carry forward will be applicable.

In genuine cases such as family emergencies, serious medical issues, or accidents, Nanda Adventure may consider offering a higher refund or carry forward percentage. Participants must provide valid documents for verification. The final decision will remain with Nanda Adventure.

Cancellation Notification:

For cancellation of any services due to avoidable or unavoidable reasons, Nanda Adventure must be informed in writing via email at:

Refunds will be processed according to the policy mentioned above from the date we receive your written cancellation request.

In the Rare Event That We Cancel a Trek:

We almost never cancel our treks. However, in rare situations where a trek has to be cancelled due to natural calamities such as snowstorms, heavy rain, floods, landslides, earthquakes, or due to unexpected political situations, curfews, local disturbances, or government orders, Nanda Adventure will issue a trek voucher for the full amount of your trek fee.

This Trek Voucher can be used for any trek organized by Nanda Adventure within one year from the date of issue.
