Nanda Adventure – Environmental Policy
Trekking and Adventure Activities in Uttarakhand, India

Updated on 2026

At Nanda Adventure, we are strongly committed to protecting the fragile ecosystems of the Uttarakhand Himalayas. Our passion for trekking and adventure goes hand in hand with our responsibility to preserve the natural beauty of the mountains. While organizing trekking and outdoor experiences, we focus on minimizing our environmental impact and promoting responsible travel practices.

1. Thoughtful Group Sizing:

To reduce environmental pressure on trekking trails and campsites, Nanda Adventure maintains small and well-managed trekking groups. Limiting the number of participants helps protect delicate mountain ecosystems, reduces waste generation, and ensures a better trekking experience for everyone while maintaining the natural balance of the region.

2. Water Source Protection:

We take special care to protect natural water sources such as rivers, streams, and mountain springs. All campsite toilet areas are located away from water bodies to prevent contamination. Participants are strictly advised not to wash utensils, clothes, or use soaps and chemical cleaners in natural water sources. These measures help maintain the purity of water sources that local communities and wildlife depend on.
